TAKE A CLOSE LOOK

  Take a good look at your photo, use a magnifying glass, there's a lot more scratches, spots and creases than you think. Sometimes that can be a problem when you are costing for restoration, as you do not magnify the job as we do. Another problem we come across is textured finishes to photos. When scanning these photos the textured finish comes out in the scan and is very noticeable. We can get around it, but there must be some compromise. We can make the textured finish vanish, but some sharpness to the image will be lost.

     At Pic fx we take a great deal of time and effort to give you the best possible finish for your image/photo, satisfaction guarantee, but remember we do not have a magic wand. We will use many different techniques, and use state of art software to give you the best possible outcome. But remember, you can not bring back information from the image, if it is totally gone or is faded beyond recognition.
     Keep in mind that if your photo has large pieces missing, especially body parts, a second photo of the subject, will be useful as we can use the second photo to borrow body parts, especially facial features. Don't worry if you have not have one as we can add borrow parts from other similar photos.We also use special software, to enlarge your original photo, to your output size with minimal loss of quality.
     With every restoration / alteration job, we will supply you with a free high quality image (tiff format) burnt to cd. That means you have a copy for life, for all your future needs.
